* A space is a vast area of dunes. Only 20% of the Sahara is occupied by the dunes.
** Erg Chebbi is the best known. These dunes are easily accessible by road from the city of Merzouga. Its beauty is indisputable but remains a very touristy place.
With a length of about 40 km for 15 km wide, this erg, some of which are close to a height of 300 m is the largest and highest in Morocco. Access to Chegaga is in 60X (60 km of track from the village of Mhamid El Ghizlane) or camel (trek accompanied by a camel caravan).
